WHAT IS PROFHILO?

Profhilo is the best non-surgical treatment against ageing.

It is effective, long-lasting and safe.

It's a unique bioremodelling treatment which stimulates the natural production of elastin and collagen by slowly releasing the naturally occurring Hylauronic Acid.

 

We recommend having Profhilo treatment instead of fillers which stretch out the skin as Profhilo uses unique NAHYCO technology. This is a process in which the hyaluronic acid molecules can form hybrid cooperative complexes of different molecular weights, which are stabilised. This leads to slowly released hydration and the formation of collagen and elastin to improve skin quality and provide longer-lasting results. Thus meaning that Profhilo hydrates, firms and rebuilds new younger-looking skill cells.

 

Essentially being an injectable moisturiser, the hydration benefits far outweigh other skin boosters as the concentration of hyaluronic acid in Profhilo is much higher. This allows it to strengthen the scaffold of the skin and build elastin and collagen. This gives Profhilo a subtle lifting and tightening effect and boosts radiance from within.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The entire session will last approximately 30 minutes, 15 minutes of consultation and 15 minutes of treatment. There are 5 injection points for your area of concern, they will stimulate 4 different types of collagen and elastin due to the slow release of hyaluronic acid. This will need to be repeated at a second session 1 month after your first session.

You should start to notice the effects of the Profhilo in 3-5 days and over the following 6 - 12 months your skin will continue to gently tighten and improve in quality.

At your treatment appointment, we will have a 15 minute pre-treatment discussion where we will ask you for the details of your medical history and the medication that you are taking, we will also discuss any treatments that you have had previously and what you would like to achieve with your treatment. Based on your answers, we will discuss if the treatment is best for you and will run through any concerns you may have.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COME IN?

Profhilo is injected at 5 points on each side of the face (or in the area to be treated) and spreads evenly throughout the skin, drawing water along the way and blending smoothly into the deep layers of the skin. After two sessions a month apart, you should expect to see a real difference in your skin’s tone, texture, and laxity, which will seem ‘firmer’. The quality of the skin tissues can be significantly improved. Profhilo is not a quick fix in the same way dermal fillers are, but it’s excellent to have in the lead-up to an event or special occasion or for general skin maintenance.

DO I NEED ANY DOWNTIME?

After your treatment, you should be able to return to your normal ‘light’ activities, including driving and getting back to work.

We do recommend that you avoid wearing make-up for 24 hours and that you take a day off from strenuous physical exercise, such as visiting the gym or playing your favourite sport. Also, please avoid saunas or a steamy bath, as well as intense sun or UV light, for three to four days. The consumption of alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before or following the treatment is not recommended (for optimal results, abstain from alcohol for 7 days prior to and after the treatment).

ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO BE AWARE OF?

There are no known risks associated with Profhilo. There may be some light swelling or redness around the injection sites.

WHY DO YOU NEED 2 SESSIONS?

Profhilo is most effective when the initial treatment and second treatment are 1 month apart, if only 1 session is attended or if there is more than 1 month between sessions, the results will not be as desired.
